Summer Camp Update – Wednesday

Taking aim, playing games and saving lives. The Scouts of Troop 306 continue their week of adventure.

Several scouts are mastering their skills with the bow at Archery Merit Badge.

The Troop participated in the camp-wide patrol competition honoring George W.P. Magee and the contributions he made to Scouting in Massachusetts.

Our first year camper spent “Waterfront Wednesday” learning and practicing lifesaving techniques with the Treasure Valley lifeguards.

We could not have asked for more perfect weather for the midpoint of camp…so nice, in fact, even the adult leaders took a break to catch up on a few “projects” for our Scouts.

Summer Camp Update – Tuesday

Our Scouts are having a great week in camp, even with a brief interruption in program today due to weather. We already have eight completed Merit Badges, and nearly one hundred in the works.

Our first year Scouts have been busy in Brown Sea Island (BSI), including trips to the rifle range, Totin’ Chit and fire building.

We even have some Scouts working on a WPI project assessing the “livability” of Scout Camp.

Stay tuned for more updates….

Troop 306 T-Shirts

Congratulations to Owen G. on the winning T-Shirt design…check out that art work!

The proposal is to offer moisture wicking t-shirt to be the “official” Troop 306 Class B. We will be sending out a survey to vote on the shirt color, either maroon with yellow print or tan with maroon print. We will also be asking for an estimate of how many shirts you might be interested in. This is not an official order, we simply want to get an idea of the want so we can set the price. The goal is $15 or less. Finally, we will check interest in long sleeve wicking shirts and hoodies. Please watch your email for the survey! Thanks.

Thank you for your support at Worcester County Memorial Park over the Memorial Day weekend. In addition to passing out flags the Scouts were extremely helpful in assisting the patrons throughout the park.
